About me
Dr. Elaine Metcalf serves as the Kansas City Pathways Regional Director. She joined the Pathways team in January of 2024. Elaine is a long-time educator with a strong background in CTE leadership. She takes pride in serving on teams to glean innovative practices to help meet an organization or school district’s mission and vision. Basically Elaine gets her fuel and energy from helping others achieve their goals. Her skill set includes collaborating with others in order to mobilize a community and kindle a fire that will create a change in practice. For example, Elaine takes great pride in her recent work at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This state-of- the-art campus was opened in 2017 and represents years of partnership among a large suburban school district, postsecondary partners and numerous business/industry partners. Elaine served as the principal of Summit Technology Academy until her retirement from public education in 2018. Elaine has a proven record of establishing strong rapport with an audience and introducing others to new educational practice in the areas of workforce development, college and career readiness, youth engagement or STEM initiatives.
