About me
Nicole is an Innovation Instructional Coach at Ray-Pec School District, bringing years of classroom experience from upper elementary and 6th grade to her new role. With a deep passion for teaching science and reading, she has recently focused on inquiry-based learning, particularly in social studies. Known as a self-proclaimed EdTech guru, Nicole values how AI can reclaim time for both educators and students, allowing more focus on what truly matters.
In her work, she views innovation as more than just the latest technology—it's about reimagining teaching and learning, providing student voice and choice, and utilizing strategies like simulations and flipped classrooms. About five years ago, she transformed her teaching practice by implementing a more personalized approach, with AI as a key resource in that journey.
At this year's AI and Innovation Summit, Nicole will lead two dynamic sessions: "The Power Duo: Maximizing Learning with School AI Spaces and Sidekicks," where she’ll explore the district's new AI platform, and "Unleashing the Power of AI in Elementary Education," offering a hands-on introduction to AI tools that can enhance teaching practice. Her collaborative approach centers on partnering with teachers to improve student outcomes, ensuring that technology serves as a tool to make their work easier and more effective.
