Using History and Reading to Build Student Creativity
Monday October 7, 2024 1:35pm - 2:25pm CDT
During the session, educators will be provided with tools for teaching with a myriad of literature (short form, poetry, children's books, novels) that could be used to engage students in learning about WWI in a variety of different settings, not exclusively history classrooms. Educators will then choose between two different creative writing activities to participate in; one oriented around poetry and another around short stories; both include building inspiration from historical artifacts.
