Ever wonder why your students, “Aren’t Getting It?” This 60-minute presentation focuses on the Power of Working Memory across all age levels. Working memory and the brains attention space are closely interconnected. Working memory is the system responsible for temporarily holding and manipulating information needed for complex tasks, such as problem-solving, reasoning, language comprehension and decision-making. It allows students AND adults to keep information “on-line” for a short period of time while we use it to perform mental operations. This engaging presentation is light-hearted, yet eye-opener for educators as they understand the ‘ah’ha’of their particular students attention span.
